Neurofeedback provides a safe and non-invasive treatment for anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD and ADHD by training the brain and nervous system to function more effectively and efficiently. Neurofeedback is an experiential process similar to learning to play a musical instrument or hit a tennis ball. The client practices various brain management skills by interacting with a computer based feedback system. The system monitors the brainwaves of the individual through sensors placed on the head and feedback is displayed in interesting, timely and meaningful ways that encourage change and resolution. The process takes 20 to 40 sessions and once the individual learns to change brain and nervous system reactions, these brain function skills become automatic and long term.
