Looking at Women’s Health
By Marilyn Zink
I’ve been doing some research for my article on women’s health and men’s health for the upcoming May/June issue of the Herbal Collective.
What I learned might shock you. Like simple things people do everyday that can damage their hormonal health, which could lead to breast cancer or prostate cancer.
Some of these things are plastics in our environment, like the soft plastics that we use in everyday life. These soft plastics leach xenoestrogens, which get into our bodies and micmic our hormones, leading to hormones excess estrogen.
Men, you’re not off the hook. These hormones can affect your health too, in more ways than you think. Yes, estrogen can affect men and lead to hormonal problems affecting testosterone levels.
Well, I say get rid of the soft plastics. Stop using them, in all forms. That’s a first step to cleaning up the hormone overload.
