Facebook surpasses Google in Visits

By Marilyn Zink

For the first time, Facebook has surpassed Google in becoming the most visited website in the U.S.

That’s according to AFP news services, which states that Facebook enjoyed a massive 185 percent increase in visits over the last week, compred with the same week in 2009.

According to the Alexa site, visits to Google dropped last week while Facebook saw an increase of 7%. Facebook has 776,492 sites linking in while Google has 727, 036 sites linking in.

So it makes sense that anyone who is online should also be on Facebook. Of course, you should also be utilizing Google and using both of these resources along with Twitter to connect with people.

Don’t forget Youtube and blogging, as well as using other resources to connect with people.  Is it just about connecting or do you have an important message to share with the world?
